Description
Our founder Oli Lemke welded his first own brewing plant in a friend’s garage in 1998. Infected by Oli’s euphoria, his friends turned into builders and helped to transform a derelict S-Bahn unit at the Hakescher Markt into a brewery. On the 21st November 1999 his dream became reality: The Brauhaus Lemke opened for the very first time.

(6/20/08) Draught at the brewpub in Berlin. I came two days after my first visit, just to try the Pils I missed the first time, and I was very happy to see this new seasonal is on tap. Anyway - clear amber-brown color with a medium stable beige head. Aroma of malt, some toastiness and nutty notes and maybe some faint coffee hints. Sweet malty flavor with a big caramelly character and some nutty notes. Medium-bodied. Nice stuff.

From tap at the brewpub, as Honey Moon - but presumeable the same according to the waitor. Pours hazy orange with a lacing off-white and creamy head. Mild spiced aroma. Smooth caramel malt and slight herbal honey flavoured. Herbal and mild bitter flavour following. Smooth finish with a mild herbal touch into the far finish. Light sweetness building up.
