Light gushing to medium, dense yellow-cream head, not very stable over ruby-brown beer; clear burt for the very last of the bottle. Rich malty nose, with alcohol and something lactic, sweet spices and mild hops. Rich taste, alcoholic and cakey, with hops blending seamlessly in. If anything, more meaty than lactic in the mouth. Very good balance. Quite rich velvety MF, and feels more carbonated than it looks. Long warming aftertaste with alcohol-preserved orangequarts. Dangerously drinkable little bottle, dangerously likeable little nobleman, both very expensive...

Bottle. Hazy brownish with a small slightly tan head. Malt, malt, malt! Yes it was very malty both in the aroma and taste. The aroma also contained syrup, dried dark berries, raisins and caramel. The taste was sweet but not sugary, sticky, thick mouth feel. Aftertaste was long and contained some alcohol. A good Swedish Barley Wine

Bottle. Hazy light copper with a medium white head. Aroma of malt, spices and some bread. Citrus, grass, herbs and bread in the taste. Quite tasty for a low alcohol beer. Low bitterness, light body.

Pours a black beer, no head, just a dark beige small rim agains the glass. Smells very smoked, wood, oily and coffee. Taste is somewhat bittersweet caramel which ends in coffee. That's pretty much the only thing that is left in the aftertaste. Burnt (not roasted) malts. If I want this, I can just drink some strong cold coffee.

Pours a clear amber to reddish. Almost no head. Smells like port, karamel, roasted malts and wood. Taste is immediately the roasted malts, which is quite surprisingly. Ends somewhat acidic with sweet hints. Aftertaste is complete hop bitterness and little acidic.

(Draught at Bishop’s Arms Vasagatan, Stockholm, 30 Apr 2010) Black colour with creamy, beige head. Roasted, malty nose with notes of liquorice, coffee, burnt hints of ashes and a touch of tar. Roasted, malty taste with black coffee, cocoa, liquorice, dark rye bread and a balanced coffee bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, mainly dry. Well balanced and excellent porter.

Draught at Bishop’s Arms Vasagatan, Stockholm. Pitch black, rich creamy head. Coffee dominates the aroma. Dark chocolate joins soon. Some malt sweetness and a supporting well built body. Clean but nicely rounded mouthfeel. Salty licorice finish. Pleasant and well made with concentrated flavours.
