Bottle. Barnyard lemon malt aroma. Pale yellow with small head. Light sweet lemon malt and mildly bitter grass/hay flavor. Light body. A nice beer but not very Koelsch-like.

Bottle - Roasted malts, very nutty, slight anise and milk chocolate. Jet black with almost no head. Nutty, roasted malts, booze and some dark fruit. Thick mouthfeel and no significant bitterness, but lots of boozy heat. Like it a lot. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at COAST. It pours golden amber with a medium white head. The nose is fresh pine, resinous, varnish, earth and dough. The taste is bitter pine, alcohol bite, floral, spice, varnish and grass with a lingering bitter finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Good level of bitterness. Pretty tasty stuff indeed.

Tap at COAST. It pours golden yellow with a medium white head. The nose is hay, spice, wheat, earth, barnyard and damp grass. The taste is earthy, hay, spice, wheat, grass, light toast, decent bitterness with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Decent stuff.
