Bottle. A hazy reddish golden colored beer with a two-finger dense white head. Some curtains. The aroma is lightly lemony sourish, fruity, with a touch of bready pale malts. It's medium bodied and quite dry on the palate, with a quite high, but pleasant level of carbonation. Fruity, berryish flavor, sour cherries the only distinctable, some lemony sourness and bread dough too. Long fruity finish. A quite subtle beer, tasteful and very refreshing. 210402

Backlog March 2019. Clear golden body under a huge off-white head. Refreshing aroma of citric hops and grapefruit with pine. Taste is medium malty with fruity hops and decent bitterness. Medium body and same aftertaste. Pretty straight forward decent APA.

More than less clear golden body under a small white head. Aroma is acidic with plum, hint of oak and a funky hint. Taste is sour with lemon, plum, pale malt, slightly woody and hint of minerals. Nice body and same acidic plum aftertaste. It’s really a rather acidic and not particular complex beer, but well-made way without the taste of yoghurt. Had it to a fish dish and it was an excellent match.

Bottle from Gulating. Clear dark amber body, almost black with a big, creamy beige head. Aroma has dark malt, vanilla and quite dominating tonka beans. Taste is rather sweet, but the bitterness makes a nice balance to it avoiding it too feel too sweet. Dark malt, gently roasted, chocolate, Christmas spices, vanilla and similar to aroma quite much tonka flavor. Nice body, actually impressive body for the low ABV and long lasting aftertaste with same elements as the main flavor ending with distinct tonka beans. Very close to taste too much tonka, but it’s a matter of appreciate the flavor or not, I find it very nice indeed with a slightly original touch

Bottle @ Håndverkeren. Black body with a moderate sized pale, beige head. Aroma has mild roasted dark malt, chocolate, cocoa powder and some kind of dusty licorices (the one I remember from my childhood as ‘lakrispipe’ and hint of marzipan. Taste is sweet dark malt, very gentle roasted, lots of dark chocolate and a hint of raspberries (just enough to give med the placebo effect of the red fruit jelly from the Troika chocolate. Fine body and quite long-lasting aftertaste. Sure, a quite funny experience to taste, to be completely honest I’m not totally convinced I would had recognized the Troika chocolate from this beer from a blind tasting, but when knowing it my brain keeps sourcing for it and naturally, I would recognize some of the flavors. But anyway, it’s a nice beer and an original take on the pastry thing. Even if it’s very sweet and nothing to mix with food it’s on the god side of silly and I really wont mind to repeat this.

Bottle. A murky orange-brown beer with a small beige head. Quite boozy, alcoholic aroma, caramel, bread, dried fruits and some chocolate and cocoa. It's warming and full bodied, smooth and semi-sweet, with flavors of roasted malts, coffee, dark chocolate, dark dried fruits and cocoa. Lasting finish. Too boozy this one, still quite nice. 201106
