On tap at the brewpub. A clear pale golden colored beer with a dense white head. Nice curtains. The aroma is fruity, with a pleasant maltyness. Grains and bread, and a generic fruityness. It’s medium bodied and soft on the palate, nicely carbonated and mostly on the dry side. Quite gentle bitterness. The flavor has some grass and pine cones, but it’s mostly generic fruityness and bready, grainy pale malts. Dry, fruity finish with a pleasant maltyness. A pleasant pilsner indeed. 220812

Bottle, at the brewpub. A dark golden one, unclear, with a finger-thick white head. The aroma is bready and lightly perfumed, with orange and coriander. Mostly fruity though. It’s quite dry on the palate, medium to full-bodied, with a quite heavy carbonation. Fruity flavor, more than the aroma, with bready pale malts, some orange and coriander, and a perfumed, flowery hint. Medium length finish. Decent, nothing more. 220812

Bottle, at the brewpub. It’s an unclear orange-golden colored beer with a small white head leaving some curtains. The aroma is malty and grassy, with banana and some caramel. Some light yeast and clove notes too. It’s medium bodied and effervescent on the palate, quite dry, with a light bitterness. Fruity, malty aroma with grass, banana and some orange. Hints of caramel, yeast and cloves in the back. Some grassy notes too, more evident in the finish than the initial flavor. A decent, drinkable Weiss, but not a beer I’m eager to have again. 220812

Bottle, at the brewpub. An unclear amber to brown beer with a creamy, finger-thick beige head. Some lacing. The aroma has lots of caramel, bread and dried apricot, some alcohol and a touch of oxidation or something in that direction. There’s also a very light roasted touch, and a piney, resiny hoppy scent. It’s full-bodied, creamy, and lightly warming on the palate. Rather heavily carbonated, and with a bitterness level matching the sweetness. Caramel, dark bread, dried apricot, piney and resiny hops and a little alcohol in the flavor. Vague notes of licorice too, along with a gentle roasted malt flavor. Quite fruity too. Lasting finish. I wouldn’t mind a bit more bitterness and hops in general, and a bit less carbonation, else it’s a very fine one. 220812

On tap at the brewpub. It’s an unclear orange-golden colored beer with a dense two-finger off-white head. Creamy curtains. The aroma has hints of DMS and grass, with a light fruityness. Some bread and a piney hint too. It’s quite dry on the palate, full to medium bodied and quite effervescent, with a pleasant bitterness. There’s a hint of DMS in the flavor too, but not much, with a light fruity sweetness. Apricot, honeydew melon and a light bready maltyness. Quite bitter finish. A pleasant lager, except for the DMS. 220812
