5/8/2021. Bottle bought at the brewery gate. Pours clear bright gold with a large frothy white head. Aroma of citrus, melon, grass, touch floral/herbal, hint of honey. Medium sweetness and light to moderate bitterness. Moderate body, average to foamy carbonation. Not bad.

5/8/2021. Bottle bought at the brewery gate. Pours clear straw gold with a small frothy white head. Aroma is hoppy, citrus, grass, touch herbal/yeasty. Medium sweetness and light bitterness. Slight sulphur tart edge. Moderate body, soft carbonation. Not the Brewers best.

5/8/2021. Bottle bought at the brewery gate. Iโm wondering if thereโs any other beer on RateBeer thatโs had to wait so long for its second rating (2003 to 2021). Pours clear deep golden amber with a frothy off-white head. Aroma is fruity, floral, caramel, sweet malt, touch yeasty. Quite sweet, more floral, slight veggie edge. Moderate body, average carbonation. Easy drinking sessionable best.

500ml bottle [courtesy of Grumbo - thanks Graham, superior Mild purveyor!]. Darkest brown, quasi black colour with ruby shimmer and average, thick, firm, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, tan head. Sweet-ish, yeasty fruity and dark malty aroma, notes of plum and cherry, some dark chocolate, chocolate biscuit. Taste is slightly bitter roasty, chocolately, dark malty, sweet-ish fruity, notes of dark chocolate, plum and cherry, mild bitter hoppy counterpart; slightly dry finish. Creamy-watery texture, smooth, soft and silky, minimally cloying palate, medium, mildly prickly carbonation. Exactly what I like about Mild Ales: light, but relatively rich in taste, harmonious and balanced - very nice!

11/7/2021. Bottle bought at the brewery gate. Pours clear dark amber with a small off-white head. Good looking beer. Aroma of caramel, malt, flowers, fruit biscuit, brown bread, touch of nut. Moderate sweetness and medium bitterness. Moderate body, oily texture, quite fizzy. Decent brew though would have liked it more if it were less fizzy.

7/7/2021. Bottle bought at the brewery gate. Pours clear deep amber with a small frothy white head. Nice looking beer. Aroma of aniseed, ginger, biscuit, malt, bread, coriander, toffee, herbal tea. Medium sweetness and light bitterness. Moderate body, slightly watery, above average carbonation. Interesting brew, quite liked it.

Cask at the Kings Arms Norwich. A clear mid golden coloured pour with a a lasting sticky white head. Aroma is earrhy grains, stone fruit, orange rind, peach, light grass. Flavour is composed of earthy grains, straw, pine, peach melba, orange rind. Nice. Palate is crisp, grainy, excellent cask condition.

Sample thanks to Grumbo: Poured a deep brown with a thin creamy tan head. Aroma is chocolate, roasted malts, dark fruits, licorice. Taste is roasted malts, chocolate, licorice, coffee.

Sample thanks to Grumbo, cheers Graham! Reddish dark brown colour, foamy biege head leavng lacing and light aroma of roasty malt, alittle coffee & chocolate. Taste is malty, marshmellow hint, cocoa, coffee & chocolate, earthy bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, roasty earthy finish. Quite drinkable.
