5/4/2021. Cask take out from the brewery. Pours almost black with minimal head. Aroma of milk chocolate, cocoa powder, light roasted malt, touch of black coffee and caramel. Medium sweetness, light to moderate bitterness. Moderate body, very oily texture, very soft carbonation. Certainly delivers a lot of chocolate.

Rare mild tick at the Fat Cat, Norwich. This version weighs in at 3.7%. It pours darkest brown with a tiny off-white head. The aroma is earthy, gravel, wood, dirt, molasses and damp leaves. The taste is rustic, bitter - sweet, molasses, dark fruits, malt loaf, earth, leather, charred wood and spice. Finish is dry and earthy. Light + body and soft carbonation. Has a sort of rustic charm to it. Decent mild.

[bottle from The Real Ale Shop, Wrentham, Suffolk] Crisp, clean, light and refreshing with green herby overtones. A fantastic easy drinking, thirst quenching beer - I could happily knock back several of these after exercise!
