500ml bottle:BB 10th Jan 2018. Drank at a mates house on 11th July 2017. Name gives away the colour of the beer somewhat: white head on top. Malty molasses in both the nose and taste, yet slightly fruity also, caramel being the main flavour and aroma: light fruit twist towards the end of each sip with a mildly bitter aftertaste. Better than I expected to be honest.

Bottle from Cooperative Supermarket, Hebden Bridge, as Baytown Press Gang’s Arrival. Amber-gold with a thin head. Has some light caramel notes in both aroma and taste. There’s a small smoothness in its texture.

(Cask at Euston Tap, Euston, London, 24 Nov 2016) Black colour with creamy, beige head. Roasted, malty nose with chocolate, coffee and a touch of vanilla. Malty, roasted taste with dark chocolate, cacao, coffee, vanilla and a balanced cacao bitterness. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty and well balanced porter. Nice one.
