Description
Anders Kissmeyer takes the concept of craft brewing very seriously, but at the same time he is also a curious and creative brewer who takes pride in driving the craft towards new heights and in new directions. Rooted in these passions, we will present new takes on well known beer types, along with brand new unique directions and styles.
Anders Kissmeyer is a much larger name in the rest of the world than he is in his own country. This will be reflected in a number of collaboration brews. Beers he brews in collaboration with his large network of friends among the best international brewmasters. To fully unfold our ambitions, we have chosen to present all of the KISSMEYER beers in a number of distinct portfolios, each with a conceptual idea of it’s own.

'Kissmeyer Beer and Brewing’ is my company, launched in 2010 after I ended my 10 year carreer with Nørrebro Bryghus. Longue description The company spans over three main areas of business - ’Kissmeyer Beer’ is my beer brand offering my own and collaborative beers at home and abroad. ’Kissmeyer Brewing’ is my consultancy business offering services related mainly to the brewing industry. Finally, under the collective name ’Kissmeyer Beer & Brewing’ I offer a wide range of communication services incl. beer tastings and presentations

500ml bottle from Vinmonopolet Vika, Oslo. Huge and thick off-white head, leaving frothing rings of lace on the glassware. Next to clear copper brown-tinged body. Smell of beady malts entwined with dried fruits. Fine blended taste of earthy malts, sweet berries, almond and ripe fruits, as well as a touch of pepper on the swallow. Not overly bitter finish. A good malt dominated pale ale (Saturday eve at home in Tromsø, 02.06.2012).

Medium beige head. Slightly hazy amber body. Roasty malty aroma with caramelly notes. Dry-sweet caramelly dusty taste with roasty grainy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish caramelly chocolatey aftertaste with grainy dusty earthy notes. Nice, drinkable, and understated. More of a brown ale than a pale ale, if you ask me. (0.5l bottle, wine monopoly, Vika, Oslo.)

From a 500ml bottle on 27/5/2012. Pours a cloudy dark amber, with a small head. Has a moderate aroma of dark fruit and mild hops. Flavour wise, it’s got lots of caramel malt and a good dose of fruity hops. This is an enjoyable, slightly different, though relatively subtle IPA

50cl bottle from Vinmonopolet. Pours amber with a small off-white head. Fruity and malty aroma with caramel and hops. Sweet and malty with some bitterness. Medium body. Pleasant beer, but the name gave me higher expectations... Slightly citric and dry finish.
