Half pint, cask, served at the very right drinking temperature at the Fox & Newt brewpub in Leeds. Good looking with a creamy white head leaving dotted spots behind. Crystal clear, golden-brown body. Aroma of caramel malts and resin-like hops. Fruit bitter caramel in flavour lingering on the swallow. Smooth in the mouth. A very decent Brit bitter (11.07.2012).

Cask @ Highlander Inn, Craigellachie 240612
Now 4.3% and relaunched by brewery
Orange, slight haze, white head, reasonable lacing. Nose of sour malt, rather poor. Taste of caramel malt, hint of biscuit , some diacetyl, soft light toffee. Palate - soft carb, medium body. finish of soft bitter biscuit.
Overall - Quite flawed, drinkable but not great

Cask, handpump at the Fox and Newt brewpub 16.03.12 in company of my dad & Barry Pours dak brown, this is nutty, creamy, soft and quite smooth. There is a little tangy fruitiness, in fact it is just a very decent beer (mild!) A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.2

Cask, handpump at the Fox and Newt brewpub 16.03.12 in company of my dad & Barry Pours amber with a white head. Fruity with a good bitterness, nicely tangy and really very pleasant, in fact this is easily the best of the three beers from this brewery that I sampled here today. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov13 3.4

Cask, handpump at the Fox and Newt brewpub 16.03.12 in company of my dad & Barry Gold in colour with a small white head. Some caramel on the nose and a little in the mouth. Not particularly hoppy or bitter, but that said it was still a pleasant enough sessions strength beer. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov11 3.0

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 3/08/2011. Almost black in colour with a slight, off-white head. Aroma of dark chocolate, roasted malts and liquorice. Flavour had a lot more chocolate, dark fruits and a dryish finish. A good stout.

Amber-copper body, not much for a head on the surface, but firm amount of lacework on the glass. Inviting smell of caramel malts offset by fruity notes. Sweet chocolate malts in flavour with a distant fruity touch and a nice bitter finish. Cask, half pint perfectly served at Red Deer, Sheffield 2 Oct 10.

Cask på Red Deer, Sheffield 2 Okt 10. Gylden. Lavt skum som setter nivåmerker i glasset. Svakt syrlig aroma. Smaken er svakt maltig og litt frukt. Søtt helhetsinntrykk. Avslutter maltig.

Cask handpull at Thomas Becket, Canterbury. Gold, slight haze, thin beige head. It’s a lightish slightly fruity bitter. Not too exciting.
