Bottle. As Bokk. A murky brown beer with a minimal sized head. Caramel and bread in the aroma, with a touch of dried fruits and sour berries. It's full-bodied and lightly warming, semi-sweet, with caramel and bread running the flavor-show. Dark chocolate, dried fruit and some berry sourness in the flavor. Lasting finish with a good warmth along with chocolate, caramel and some dried fruits. Rather uninteresting this one. 200601

330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet Kopervik. ABV is 10%. Deep reddish brown colour, a relatively light colour for a Baltic porter. Moderate off-white to beige head. Aroma of lightly roasted malts, and Christmas spices including anise or liquorice (or both). Very drinkable flavour, a certain fruitiness of prunes / other dark dried fruits, also Christmas spices and lightly roasted malts. Not too sweet, moderate hops.

Tja, nøttepreg og mer mørk malt enn bokk-aktig maltpreg. Og med en underlig 'coating' munnfølelse. Savner undergjærens rene preg, for der var litt mye fruktighet, og litt lite CO2 til å balansere ut. Men bortsett fra det var det en helt ok opplevelse.

Aktivitetsdag på Vaaland brygghus, en 0,33 flaske fra polet på Kilden, delt med skogsmatrosen: mahognyfarget med fint skum som varer. Parfymert duft med innslag av julekrydder (ingefær, kardemomme, kanel, lakris og nellikspiker?). Julekrydderpreget er tydelig i smaken, og jeg får assosiasjoner til krydret julekake med tørkede frukter. En riktig god og varmende juleøl.

Bottle. An almost clear deep golden colored beer with a small, dense white head leaving some curtains. The aroma has bread and toffee with a light fruity and grassy touch. It's full bodied, soft and smooth on the palate, with more sweetness than bitterness. Caramel, bread, some toffee and a touch of roasted malts, and a light fruitiness in the flavor. Bread and caramel finish with a fruity touch. A pleasant bitter, clean, quite tasteful and with a good body. 190721

0,33 flaske fra helsekosten på Kvaddå, hjemme en søndag kveld feb-19: klar, mørk mahogny med ok skum. Deilig, maltdrevet aroma og saftig smak med sjokoladebiter, mørke karameller, tørkede frukter (fiken og svisker) i en utmerket kombinasjon med maltbasen. Ikke for søt selv om bitterheten er forsiktig. Deilig ettersmak og rikelig med mersmak.
