Description

Hazy and cloudy orange colour. Smells like alcohol, fruit, fresh and pilsener. Tastes a bit sweet, with some sugary finish. Great mouthfeel.

Bottle @ home shared with DutchDrebus. Hazy cloudy orange color, big white head. Smell is way off, don’t know what it is but it’s filthy. Taste sweet, grainy, ash and dirt. Carbo is decent, body medium.

Bottle, at De Bierkamer. An unclear, golden orange beer with a white finger-thick head. Pale malts, some yeast and fruityness on the nose. Mostly citrusy fruits like lemon and orange. A touch of apples too though. It feels sweet, yet dry, on the palate, slightly warming and with a solid body. Piney, grassy hops and some oranges and a decent bitterness towards the end. In my opinion, a bit sweet, but it’s a nice beer anyway. 110430

Bottle, served at the brewery. It pours a big, white head over a hazy, golden-orange body. Alcohol, fruityness, orange, hops and some yeast notes on the nose. The flavor has a fine bitterness towards the end, with the same fruityness and alcohol found in the aroma. Full body, pleasant carbonation and a smooth warming sensation on the palate. Except for a bit too evident alcohol, it’s a nice tripel. 110430

Bottle, 75cl corked. Served at the brewery. A hazy, dark golden-orange beer with a finger thick, dense, off-white head. Pale malts, lots of fruityness, some peppery notes and a pleasant grassy and piney hoppyness on the nose. The flavor has some notes of orange peel and a decent bitterness, leading to a lasting finish. Full-bodied, smooth and dry. The 10% ABV is well hidden, and it’s dangerously tasteful and easy drinkable. I really enjoyed this one, but I also realise the fact that I might be a bit influenced by the setting, with good weather, good friends and a nice garden. 110430
