Started as Bochkaryov Brewery in 1999, acquired by Heineken in 2002 and ran as Heineken Russia / United Heineken Breweries. Transferred to United Beverages Holding in 2023 as Heineken left the country.

Appearance: Opaque dark brown with a good beige head. Aroma and taste: Raw water, dark malts, caramel, treacle, distant hop. Light to medium sweet, low to light bitterness. Mouth feel: Light to medium body, average carbonation. Summary: A stout with off-notes? Thanks.

450ml bottle. Brewed under (a probably now dead) licence in Russia. Pours black with a tall beige head. Aroma is caramel, malt, raisins, Taste is medium sweet, coffee, malt. Light bitter finish. Something slightly Guinness-ish about it, but it's more of a dark lager.

Plastic bottle sample at a tasting at Tom's place. Clear golden. Oxidation, lots of cardboard, a bit of alcohol, sweetish.

Appearance: clear deep red with a small pink frothy head of low retention. Aroma and taste: medium to heavy sweet. Artificial strawberries, strawberry jam. Some distant lime. Malt. Mouth feel: medium body, average carbonation. Summary: pretty bad.

Appearance: clear reddish brown with a one finger tall instantly diminishing beige head. Aroma: toast, treacle, apples, bread crust, light alcohol. Taste: light to medium sweet, malty, fruity, bready, alcoholic, light bitter ending. Mouth feel: medium body, lively carbonation. Summary: unbalanced macro stuff. Very approximate.

450ml can with Vinne Jones on the side. Pours clear dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma is caramel, brown sugar and malt. Taste is medium sweet, caramel, toasted malt, raisins, slightly boozey. Light bitter finish. The usual strong dark beer put out by macro breweries in Russia and the Baltic States. Nothing to do with real English porters.

Bottle 0.45 l. Scarlet, clear, noisy pink foam. Aroma: strange combination of cherry and peach, sweet, cherry jam. Taste: sweet with a slight sourness, peach and cherry compote, chemical sadness.

Bottle 0.45 l. Cloudy deep orange color, low foam. Aroma: sweet, strange mango and orange, some kind of crazy multifruit juice. Taste: very sweet, orange, gloomy mango, weird.
