Can courtesy of Marcel Scarpato via Craig, cheers guys! Consumed at home Saturday 5th October 2024 in the company of Craig and Stella. Hazy light yellow yolky with a large white head. This tastes stronger than 5%, almost a light numbing edge to this, unusual but not without its merits. A little juicy but not as fruity as expected. Difficult to categorise.

Bottle at ash's. Pours deep brown, nose is chocolate, roasted, treacle, meaty, taste is similar, bitter, dry, definitely juniper in the finish.

Bottle thanks to Marcel. Appearance - deep brown to black with just a hint of an orange chink. Nose - toffee, syrup and molasses. Taste - syrup and molasses. Light creamy milk chocolate. Palate - medium bodied, creamy texture and still sweet on the finish. Overall - good, if not a typical stout. This is like a Wee Heavy, actually.

Bottle thanks to Marcel. Appearance - cloudy brown with no head. Nose - raisins, gingerbread and syrup. General cakiness. Taste - sultanas, syrup and cake. Palate - medium bodied, rich and sweet middle. Some roast on the finish but generally sweet. Overall - very nice.

On tap @Ma che siete venuti a fà (Rome). Ambrata scarica, lievemente torbida, schiuma bianca media. Al naso note di mango, passionfruit, pompelmo, leggero erbaceo. In bocca è dolce all'attacco con finale amaro medio, ben equilibrata. Corpo medio-leggero, carbonazione media. Abbastanza pulita, non male, nonostante non sia freschissima.
