Can at home. It pours a clear reddish amber color with a small bubbly head. The aroma has strong toasted malt with light notes of orchard fruit. Red apples, grape and peach stand out, but the rich, toasted breadiness is the strongest impression. The flavor doesn’t seem very IPA-like at all. Mostly toasted malt with some red apple, honey and peach. Low to medium hop flavor and low bitterness. Clean on the palate and creamy with toasted and lightly caramel malts. Spot on carbonation. Not a very exciting beer, but well made and satisfying to drink. Nice start by these guys.

On tap at Up & Under in Point Richmond. It pours a rich, deep golden color with a thick off white head. Much darker than expected considering the name. The aroma is strong with hoppy blueberry/pineapple Mosaic-like character. Light honey and toasted malt. The flavor has more of the blueberry and pineapple up front with a little dank and toasted/lightly caramel malt. Fresh, snappy hops are in the foreground. It has a strong, dank/piney bitterness. Clean and really quite tasty. Just a little darker and more IPA-like than expected. I enjoyed my pint quite a bit.
