New Deca beer in honour of a local war hero. Slow gushing but manageable. Audibly crackling, off-white, moussy, medium thick but eventually largely dissolving head over an immediately hazy, peach blonde beer with light orange hue, becoming murky ochre and pear juice-like with the deposit added. Aroma of pineapple, banana, pear, strawberry, cake, chamomille, dry hay, white bread, baker’s yeast, turnip, white rum, moldy lemon, vanilla, white pepper, ginger, honey. Estery fruitiness, gooseberry sourishness and banana sweetishness with hints of apple and yellow plum, fairly sharp carbo, smooth malt body, pleasantly bready and a tad caramelly, malt sweetness continuing well into the finish with an earthy and floral hop bitterness added with decently drying effect, along with some bready yeastiness and a glow of warming, ’jenever’-like alcohol. Nothing to get too excited about, another straightforward Belgian blonde like there are so many around, but technically quite well made and pleasant enough for me, with a good balance of sweet and bitter.

Hazy gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light and crisp. Sweet thin malts, mild cream. Spice. Tangy lemon and orange. Trace of something tropical and tinned. Light crisp finish. Mild bitter linger. Comes together well, pretty tasty and drinkable.

Loads of candi sugar and bubblegum and perfume on aroma. Bubblegum on taste. Clove. Too earthy for my tastes.
