Tap at Fresh Craft, Denver. Poured a hazy light amber with a round white head. The aroma is acidic apple. The flavour is weak sour with a watery veggie like palate. Can’t say I enjoyed this.

On tap. Pours with a clear golden body and a small white head. Aromas are very spicy, lots of phenols, fruity, lavender. A bit wit like (coriander), grainy and a touch grassy. Flavors are quite bitter, fruity, melon, juicy, herbal, lavender and jasmine like. Medium bubbles, dry.

Tap @ The Mayor Foco. Hazy, golden appearance with a fluffy white head. Black peppery, spicy yeasty, lemon-orange citrusy aroma. Bready, spicy, property yeasty, orange citrusy, coriander, dry, belgian golden ale flavor with a dry, almost vinous finish.. Not bad!

Straw. Big perfumey yeast character. Slightly spicy, floral and a bit sticky. Doesn’t come together particularly well.

Tap @ Freshcraft. Moderately cloudy, light golden orange appearance with a foamy white head. Spicy, zesty, coriander, orange peel, citrusy, moderately peppery aroma. Fairly spicy, yeasty flavor- kind of saison-like- lemon/orange citrusy, coriander, orange zest flavor. Mostly citrusy, but some pepper and coriander in the aftertaste. Pretty tasty, refreshing belgian wheat. Wish I was drinking it in the sun on a summer afternoon rather than a cold rainy day.

Tap at HL&S - listed as Faust Part 2, but from what I can tell from the Black Fox website, it is the same beer - probably the funkiest, earthiest BF beer so far - very dry, with light mineral texture and bitterness - some dusty, cobweb character - moderate horse blanket funkiness - spicy, peppery finish - liked it quite a bit.

Tap at Freshcraft - nothing all that Belgian here - creamy, sweet and medium bodied ale - a lot of vanilla, roasted nuts and a kind of malted milk sweetness - a bit of cocoa - some Belgian yeast character kicks in at the end in the form of mild peppery flavors - Black Fox beers tend tomb hit or miss - this is a miss, albeit still a fairly drinkable one.

Tap at Wynkoop - apparently brewed with honey and it shows - hazy gold - nose is quite nice, with light earthiness and flowers from the honey, dusty yeast and strong herbs (primarily mint and sage) - moderate carbonation, light in the mouth - flavor has a fairly strong honey sweetness to it that subdues some of the other characteristics of the beer, especially the character imparted by the yeast (earthiness, phenols) - what does cut through is some wheat character and strong sage, mint and bitter herbs - lose the honey, because there is a great saison hiding in there.
