Black with a khaki head that thins to the edge.
Nose is dark malts, coconut shavings, mellow bourbon rip, chocolate pot, toffee melt.
Taste comprises mellow roast, chocolate, good bourbon slug, dark fruit rinds, spice, fates, figs.
Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced rising boost shrouded in bourbon.
Solid BA impy.

Off-white rim over cola-coloured beer. Bourbon nose, boerejongens, tobacco, cigarleaf, cypress, duckweed, holly. Sweet-ish, very boozy, wood, very old, dried sultanas but not overly sweet; rosepetals. Thin body - acidthinning? - drier than most Bourbonbarrel aged beers. Alcoholwarming, but only appearing after some time. Dry, quite OK, but not really flavourexplosion. The heat arriving as an aftertought might come a tad surprising. Txs to Stef!

29/3/2025. Bottle from Beerdome online store. Pours black with a small bubbly/frothy pale tan coloured head. Aroma is chocolate, caramel, woody, port, roasted malt, vanilla, fudge. Medium sweetness, moderate roasted bitterness. Very drinkable.
