Bottle shared in London - huge thanks to Fresh Ken. Pours deep brown with a frothy, tan head. Big, big beer, with lots of dark malt character, some dark chocolate, modest roast, roaring alcohol, a little ashy char, dried berries, nips of port, dates, fudge, burnt marshmallows. Full bodied, somewhat chewy, with fine carbonation. Warming finish, with notes of vanilla, semi-sweet chocolate, more subdued ashy roast, dark fruits. Great depth, considerable potency. Dangerously drinkable. A lot of fun.

Bottle shared in London - many thanks to Fresh Ken. Bottle 252 of 800. Pours deep black-brown with a foamy beige head. Great depth in this beer, with a healthy mix of rich, creamy coffee, gooey chocolate, torched marshmallows, scorched earth, vanilla. Full bodied, oily and chewy, with fine carbonation. Warming finish, sticky sweet, more vanilla, fudge, rocky road kind of vibes. Nice lingering espresso and boozy warmth. At 13.5% this is a real beast, but I think the depth of character rewards the sacrifice.

Level 6 Bottleshare. Thanks to New Ken. Opaque dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Smooth palate, semi dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Soft dark malts, a little creamy sweetness, a little dark chocolate. Spicy apple brandy, more spice than everything else. Good fun but could use some time.
