Flaske 0,33l. Brakt som gave av Eva på Sankthansaften 2009. Hjertelig takk! Mørk brun med et lavt kremaktig skum. Voldsom aroma av kaffe & sjokolade. Smaken er kaffe hele veien. Veldig lite variert. Sjokoladesmaken kommer inn igjen i ettersmaken. KI=5

Thanks to Eva for bringing a slim 330ml bottle all the way from Izmir. Deep mahogany body with a naked surface. The aroma is a blend of coffee and cocoa. Brown sugar, coffee and sweet cocoa-malt in flavour. Short tail. Foamy in the mouth. Possible to drink, but gets far too sweet (Tromsø, 06.06.2009).

From a can after UEFA Cup Final, Istanbul. Pretty nasty stuff. Let’s face it you don’t go to Turkey expecting great beer do you ? Seem to recall having an EFES beer from a bottle that wasn’t pilsen and wasn’t as tasteless and naff as this. Whatever, this ain’t good. Stick to the wine or even the raki.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown color with a longlasting off-white head. Has a roasted malty caramel aroma. Slightly sweetish roasted malty caramel flavor. Has a sweet roasted malty caramel finish.

bottle, pours dark carmel, thin off white head. Light carmel malt and candi sugar nose. Light sweet malt and a roasted character in the finish. Not bad, but boring.

The bottle looks very simple, almost a bit cheap. The beer in the glass is okay. The beer tastes very thin, washy, like nothing. Like modest dry water. Nothing special!

33 cL bottle from Vintage Cellar in Blacksburg, VA. Pours a dark amber color with a large head. Poor head retention and lacing. As soon as the bottle opens I get a note of roasty skunk, which is bizarre. Aroma is roasty with notes of tobacco, caramel and dark fruits. Taste is molasses, brown sugar, raisin and grain. Cloyingly sweet. Medium bodied. Not a good experience.

Bottled in Morphou/Güzelyürt, (North) Cyprus. Clear golden, mid-sized head. Aroma of honey and syrup. Sweet and medium bodied with clean mouthfeel. The syrupy addition isn’t too powerful some some room for other flavours. Sadly there aren’t much of those other flavours. Finishes joyless without bitterness. Tolerable, but not likable.

Bottled in Antalya. Dark brown with fair sized head. Aroma of cocoa powder with artificial coffee. Extremely sweet and candy-like with mid-sized body. Strong café au lait flavour, but withway too much sugar that makes it sticky. Slight late cocoa bitterness.
