(Keg at Punavuoren Ahven, 20141220) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had liquorice, Belgian style yeast and roasted malts. Palate was rahter full bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were Belgian style yeast, fruitiness, burnt malts, spices, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste was roasty and bitter. A weird combination of spicy yeast and burnt malts. Not really bad but I wouldn’t have another one.

Draught @ All In Beer Fest 2014. Pours hazy yellow with a small white head that leaves a small trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is tiny malty and floral with crackers, bread, grass and lemon zest. Taste is tiny sweet, bitter, tiny malty and tiny floral with crackers, bread, butterscotch, hay, dried flowers and lemon zest. Mouthfeel is slightly crisp, tiny dry, slightly astringent and light to medium bodied. Finish is bitter with bread, butterscotch, hay, dried flowers and lemon zest. Solid heavy bitter pils. Didn’t drink as an "imperial" beer at all.

On tap at OT. Black with a small tan head. Aroma and taste of spices, mainly coriander and nutmeg. Also licorice, chocolate and light orange. Fairly soft and easy to enjoy.

Tap @ölhus Stockholm. Black colored with a lacing off white head. Smooth stuff. Xmas spices, wood mostly in aroma. Flavor has spicy notes, dark bready notes, nutmeg perhaps the clearest. Tough to rate this one. Truly a Xmas brew though. God jul!

Flaske 330ml fra Vinmonopolet, Tromsø Sentrum. Delt med Rune på Nerstranda 10 Des. 14. Gyldenbrun. Uklar. Litt skum som daler fort. Frisk & god fruktaroma. Smaken virker kunstig. Syrlig frukt. Mye sedimenter i siste kvelling.

330ml bottle kindly shared by Finn. Chalk white head to a hazy golden body. Woolen hops and bread on the nose. Lemon hoppy flavours supported by spices and a backdrop of wheat. Half-dry bitter tail. Soft in the mouth. Medium bodied. Satisfying (Tromsø 10.12.2014).

Bottle 6% from CBB. Served in a pint glass. A deep orange copper with a fluffy off-white head. It has an interesting aroma of fruits and a biscuity somewhat graham cracker maltiness. Med-light bodied with an abrasive palate cleansing carbonation and dry finish. The taste is similarly odd, an earthiness(possibly rye malt), bitter, ginger, fruity but kind of that purple bubblegum soapy fruity flavor. Nothing wrong with it but for me this flavor profile is a miss.

Tap at Black Door, Helsinki. Colour is reddish brown with small white head. Aromas and flavors: Chocolate, nuts, spices and malts. Nice body and quite harsh but lacks drinkability.
