Bottle. A clear, golden to copper beer with a small, beige head. Slightly smoked nose with a bready impression and some maltyness. Smoky sourness in the flavor, but mostly it’s caramel and bread, with a hint of fruits. Nice sweetness. Full-bodied. Rather hoppy, dry finish. A pleasant beer, matching the goat sausage nicely. I would maybe like more smoked in the beer, but as the commercial description says, it would probably be a nice one with BBQ-ed pork chops. (090529)

Bottle. The aroma is pleasant, but weak, with maltyness dominating, a bit bready maybe. The beer is clear and copper-colored, topped by a decent off-white head. Caramel-malty flavor with a fine hoppyness in the background. Medium, dry mouthfeel. There’s nothing impressive with this one, but it’s quite pleasant and easy drinkable, a beer to return to.
