First ratingDraught at Bishops Arms, Västra Hamngatan, GöteborgOn June 21, 2009Slight hazy copper color, creamy off-white head. Pineapple, fruity, creamy, hoppy scent. Sweet, hoppy, huge bitter taste. Citrusy. Medium to smooth mouthfeel, huge bitterness. I liked it at first, but it’s quite out of balance, also way too bitter. Works well as a small glass, but not more at the same time. The high rating is for the first impressions, would go down if I were to rate it along the way I was drinking the glass to finish it.8/4/7/4/16=3.9RerateDraught at Haket, Göteborg, on July 15, 2009Cloudy copper color, big off-white head. Bottle thanks to Omhper. Cloudy, deep golden color with lace. Citrus, earthy, hay aroma reminiscent of a biere de garde. Flavor os peaches, honey, and sweet golden malt. Smooth and silky. A slightly sweet version of a farmhouse ale. Nice.

Bottle thanks to Omhper. Pale gold with a tall, loose head. Lemony, honey aroma with Belgian yeast. Tripel like. Flavor also of lemon and honey with piney, peppery hops and anise. Very spicy. Long-burning hop finish. Great stuff—an interesting, hoppy take on a strong Belgian Blonde.

Bottled:

Appearance: Orange with a slight head. Head is rich but sinks pretty quick.
Aroma: Sweet and spicy with notes of orange marmelade and coriander.
Flavour: Sweet oranges and coriander. Long citrus bitterness.
Palate: Not quite watery, but surprisingly thin.
Overall: A pretty nice Belgian ale; a little more body and a little bit more bitterness and it had been a really good Triple.

Bottled (#56/66) at Sorbon, Bromma, Stockholm. Cloudy copper colour, small head. Evident oaky whisky aroma. Fruity with subdued sweetness and underlying mild caramel and marzipan. Slimmed and focused on whisky. Elegant, thanks to it’s dryness.
