(Draught at Bishop’s Arms Folkungagatan, Stockholm, 29 April 2017) Black colour with creamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of black coffee, cacao and liquorice. Malty, roasted taste with strong black coffee, liquorice, blueberries, cacao and a generous coffee bitterness. Almost full body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty and well made imperial stout, in good balance for its strength. Very nice.

Utterly forgettable.

Bottle at home. Black with a khaki head. Aroma and taste of chocolate, liquorice, some plum sweetness, soy sauce and chalk. Lacks a bit of depth.

330 ml bottle, from the Norwegian importer. ABV is 9.6%. Black colour, moderate to small tan head. Roasty aroma, slightly sourish, with notes of coffee, roast malts, liquorice and slivovitz, hints of caramel, vanilla and oak. Distinctly roasty flavour, medium sweet, notes of espresso coffee, plums, slivovitz, liquorice, dry woody finish with some hops. Not perfectly balanced.

330 ml bottle, from the Norwegian importer, as Nacka Danvik Belgo DIPA. ABV is 8.2%. Slightly hazy brownish golden colour. huge white head. Lovely aroma of Belgian ale yeast, fruit and spices - the fruitiness and spiciness both from the yeast and the hops, I believe. Medium sweet flavour, distinctly spicy and well hopped. Good beer.

330 ml bottle, from the Norwegian importer. 6.1% ABV. Deep golden to orange / amber colour, moderate off-white head. Pleasant aroma of American hops, with strong fruity notes. Smooth mouthfeel. The flavour is fresh and fruity, not too sweet, with a moderate resinous bitterness in the finish.
