Bottle picked up from the beer website in Germany that I forget the name of, had this Wednesday 16th November 2022, my birthday cooking a pasta meal listening to Marc Riley on 6Music and he just played 10,000 Maniacs from a session, which I suspect was about 88-90? Poison in the Well was the first track. Pours reddy amber with an off white head, quite nutty, earthy, leafy and feels very much laden with UK hops. Not had a lot of Irish Red Ales but I suspect that this is on the spot.

Thanks Holger. Fruity dry neutral beginning. Easy to drink, fruity grainy in the back. Mild smooth, very neutral with a slightly grainy body. Neutral grainy and slightly sweet finish.

Bottle: Deep golden, hazy, slowly diminishing white head, moderate dryish grainy nose with a pretty distinctive herbal- hoppy background, moderate bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied and a bit fizzy; lingering dryish grainy and herbal-bitter finish. O.K....

NRW #1000: 0.33 l bottle from 'Bierothek', best before November 2021. A little hazy, deep amber with a large, foamy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish, slightly malty, gently fruity-floral aroma of honey, sultanas and light citrus. Gently sweet, malty, moderately bitter, slightly fruity-floral taste of honey, sultanas and light caramel, followed by a short, gently bitter, slightly grassy-spicy finish. Medium body, quite effervescent mouthfeel, average to lively carbonation. Solid Export, well-balanced, a bit too much carbonation.

Wow - huge thanks to WillemsUrenkel for that rarity! Bottle looks good. Beer in the glass copper coloured, nice head. Intense malty fruity aroma. Starts fine malty, alcoholic, not too intense. More and more fruity with some berry notes, some hints of red wine. Woody background. Well balanced finish, malty-spicy and warming alcoholic. Nice one!

0,33 l bottle from the Lessig´s webshop. I was too late at Bootshaus ... Bottle 69/100. Cloudy copper with a small one finger pale beige head in the glass. Sweet chestnut and malt on the nose. Taste is red fruity, malty and smooth, some wood. Alcoholic yes, but pleasant. Maybe too sweet for someone else, but I like it.
