Bottle. Color: Very dark ruby, almost black. Light brown head. Aroma: Floral hop, hints of coffee and roasted malt, light hints of citrus. Taste: Floral hop, bit grassy, light hints of citrus, subtle notes of coffee, cocoa and roasted malt. Medium body, average carbonation. Moderate sweet and over moderate bitterness. Dry-ish finish.

330ml bottle. Quasi black colour with average to huge, frothy, osteoporosing, minimally lacing, tan head. Chocolately, slightly roasty, dark malty and citrusy fruity, hoppy aroma, notes of milk chocolate, dark chocolate, hints of orange, mandarine, orange flavoured chocolate, some coffee; slightly ephemeral hop flavors, slowly fading fruitiness, a spicy touch of celery comes in. Taste is bitter, roasty, dark malty and bitter, zesty, citrusy fruity hoppy, diluted hints of dark chocolate, orange peel, some coffee, coffee surrogate, celery, orange zest with minimally waxy aspects, subtle sweetness, a touch of mocha; minimally leafy and zesty finish on chocolately basis. Minimally oily, watery texture, smooth, minimally dry palate, medium, mildly prickly carbonation. Some nice aspects, not completely flawless - OK.

Pours a black body and a dense beige head with good retention. Aroma's: big coffee roast, coffee grind, sweetish, fruity. Flavour is moderate sweet and light moderate roasty bitter. Medium bodied. Finish has some coffee sourness and then moderate bitter. Nice.

Bottle. Color: Black, very thin brown head. Aroma: Roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate. Taste: Very smooth and dense, viscuous, creamy, earthy, dark roasted malt, dark chocolate and some coffee. Moderate to over moderate sweet, moderate hopbitterness going to over moderate bitter at the finish. Dry-ish earthy finish. Full body, below average carbonation. Superb Imperial Stout.

Bottle. Color: Black, no head. Aroma: Cinnamon, vanilla, roasted malt. Taste: Cinnamon, vanilla, roasted malt, cocoa and pepper. Pepper gets stronger towards finish. Peppery finish but still pretty well balanced and not too peppery for me. Over medium to full body. Low carbonation. Would benefit from some more carbonation I think, but still a nice Mexicake Stout overall.

Fles gedeeld door Keukeman. Gitzwart bier met weinig schuim. Aroma is houtig en rokerig. Smaak van vanille, koffie en rokerig. Nasmaak is rokerig en het blijft wat plakkerig aan de lippen.
