Tap at Proof thanks to local RB folks: Poured a deep black with a thin tan head. Aroma is light hops. Taste is nice gritty full flavored hops. Very nice black IPA.

On tap Cigar City pouring nice and dark with infra red edges and dark mocha head. The modest aroma is dark roasted malts, some burnt malts, black licorice and a touch on the earthy side. The taste offers up a smooth and moderately thick body and a bit slick and velvety too. I get a mix of black licorice, dark roasted malts, a thin layer of velvety dark chocolate and then the malty profile gets burnt to almost charred by midway. Nice brew. It gets slightly mineraly and oxidized into the finish.

Bottle opened on the bus ride to the Hunahpu release. Pours dark brown/black color with light brown head. Smokey aroma with some roasted malts. Similar flavors. Medium body with moderate carbonation.

Nice smoky nose, very campfire. Brown color. Light to medium bodied, easy semi-dry finish with lingering smoke and roast.

Tampa Weekly Gathering @OTH-on tap-pours a dissipating offwhite head with trailing lace and gold color. Aroma is Pine/herbal, some medium malt. Taste is pine/herbal hops with some bite, 2nd slightly sweet light/medium malt. OK carbonation.

A hazed blonde ale with a thin superlacing white head. A sweet funky mash aroma, a bit spoiled , a bit of spices, cinnamon. In mouth, a rather light milkey and creamy beer with fruity esters, light hops, a bit boring. On tap at Sarasota Brewing Co., Jan. 3 2011.

Au fût @ OTH. De couleur cuivre, mousse blanche. Malt caramel, note grillée avec qcq fruits. Au palais, on ressent une fine amertume tout en gardant une bonne présence, quoique légère du mat et caramel, en arrière-goût, un peu de sucre brun et malt grillé. Reste effervescente et devient plus appréciable une fois que elle se réchauffe un peu. Au fini, le profile du malt présente un léger aspect de noisette tout en conservant une amertume de malt pale.
