On tap at Cigar City few months back. Pours deep amber with tan head. The aroma has spicy black licorice, dark roasted malts and smooth subtle smokiness. The taste has a nice smokiness to it mixing with chocolate and dark roasted malts. To midway I get a growing note of dark roasted coffee as well as growing smokiness taking this to the finish. Nice modestly smoky brew.

draft @ OTH. pours black, mocha head. aroma and flavors, lots of nice dark roast, toffee, chocolate, mild bitter finish. This one is as solid as the coffee version. Toward the end, the chocolate and roast tend to become a tad more present.

On tap at the Oldsmar Tap House pouring up nice and dark with mocha head. The aroma has notes of dark roasty to burnt malts, some toffee, earthiness and chocolate. The taste is roasty and burnt malts rolling smoothly into a pleasing level of chocolate. Toward the finish the flavor picks up additional notes of toffee and earthiness. Nice stuff.

A deep dark stout with a thin brown head. In aroma, a nice smooth chocolate with light burned wood, some fusel alcohol, really nice. In mouth, a light and smooth chocolate with light peated notes, not bad but overall, a bit light. On tap at Dunedin House of Beer, May 23 2010.

A clear golden amber IPA with a thin white head. Another meaty and floral hops aroma, with some nice muskey notes, almost sexual. In mouth, an intense malt with nicely balanced floral hops, oily resins, quite nice and classic, warming alcohol, just right. On tap at Cigar City, May 22 2010.

Tap at CCB: Poured a black color with a tan head. Aroma is light coffee bean and roasted malts/barley. The taste is watery thin espresso coffee. I expected it to be a little thicker with a name like midnight oil!
