On tap at Cigar City pouring up hazy gold with white head. The aroma has modest notes of graininess, apple like fruity sweetness and a sense of yeasty spice. The mouthfeel is very thin allowing notes of grains, some malts, some sweet banana flavored wheat and soft mild spices to emerge from the liquid filled glass conveyance I’m holding.

On cask at the Whole Foods / CCB Cask Event. pours amber, off-white head. aroma of oak, hops, caramel malts. flavors, this becomes a plus of their original 10-10-10 version, lots of nice rich hops. Nice woody/barrel and oak goodness, leaves a warming abv mixed with citrus hops, caramel malts finish with the added barrel goodness.

On cask at the Whole Foods / CCB Cask Event. It pours out of a beer engine hazy copper with nice off white head. The aroma is oak and spice and boozy sweetness running into mostly pine resin and grapefruit hoppiness at the end of the draw. Overall kind of a mild aroma likely due to the type of conveyance used. The taste is sweet bourbony and spicy oak mixed with pine and resiny hoppiness. Then toward midway some sweet maltiness rises up to be heard. Those notes fade into the finish to reveal tasty resiny hop goodness. This brew attains a tasty balance between hop bitterness, hop flavor and sweet barrel aged notes.

Cask at Cigar City Brewing Cask for a Cause. Dark golden brown, big beige head, nice lacing. Aroma of dried hops and stacks of farmer’s hay. Taste is bitter from start to finish, pine resin (like the baseball players use on their bats). Dry finish. Very tasty.

On tap on cask at the ‘010 FL Brewer’s Ball. Pours up copper with slight haze and off white head. The aroma is pretty robust with hop spiciness, some sweet malts, floral, a touch of soap and hop resin. The taste is sweet malts moving to pine hop resin, hop spiciness, a touch of grapefruit and staying hop resiny into the finish. It has lingering hops resin supported by echoes of malty sweetness heading deep into the after taste. Full of flavor. Nice!

Draft @ FBGBF ’010. Pours hazy creamy sandy gold with tall lasting off white head. Cool looking brew. The aroma has plenty of spices, coriander, pepperiness and Belgian yeast. The tastes is smooth and gets kind of grainy and then picks up loads of yeasty spices and coriander by about midway. In the background I get a touch of lemon like acidity the plays off of the other notes with a refreshing degree of harmony. This is nice stuff.

Draft @ FBGBF ’010. Pours just watery clear with a faint hue of yellow color supporting a thin bright white head. I don’t think I’ve seen a beer that was this close to looking like a glass of tap water. The aroma is very light with a sense of graininess, noble hops and malts. The taste is sweet and somewhat watery to start beginning with honey sweetness and then some graininess rolling into mild amounts of noble hoppiness around the edges. The above average carbonation helps give it a little bit of a flavor kick to help keep it from being too watery.

Draft @ FBGBF ’010. Pours hazy gold with thin white head. The aroma is sugary sweet with equal amounts of citrus and malts with some pine hoppiness in the background. The taste is smooth and refreshing with grapefruit and tangelo up front to go along with a little bit of pine around the edges and followed by sugary sweet maltiness. This is a solid hot weather pale ale I will seek out.
