Bottle shared thanks to Deanso. Cloudy brown with an off white head. Aroma of light citrus, soluable tables, herbs, light spice and caramel. Flavour is moderate sweet and light moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Not a black IPA in any remote sense. [15/08/2016]

On tap at t Ankertje. Thin creamy off white head. Cloudy amber pour. Again drinkable but a boring style. Pity the ipa wasn’t on tap, only on bottle. Fortunately they do take home....

0.33 l bottle from ’Café ’t Ankertje’. Clear, golden yellow with a thin, fluffy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish-malty, very spicy and a little fruity aroma of coriander, licorice, cane sugar, some peach and clove. Sweetish-malty, yeasty-spicy and a little fruity taste of coriander, cane sugar, licorice, clove, a bit of honey and peach, followed by a medium long, slightly bitter, yeasty-spicy and a little warming finish. Medium body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Drinkable, a bit too spicy, but not bad.
