Moderately strong and shitty hay aroma. Yellow pour with a thickish white head and decent lacing. Watery mouthfeel and flavor of low grade grains, almost skunky too. Delayed and very faint lemon grass finish. I’m not even sure it was there, but I give the benefit of the doubt. This is pretty awful and much worse than expected from an import.

300 von fass, beautiful outdoor seating by The Mosel River at Gasthaus Mosellied in Trier. Served chilled. Bright golden body topped by a tiny layer of foam. Tranquil aroma of dry fruits. Hints of citric flavour and noble hops. Pretty soft on the swallow. An additional score for the warm and nice autumn scenery by the river (16.09.2007).

Bottle at our Septoberfest party. Pours a light yellow-gold color with a medium white head that burns off rather quickly. Spotty lacing. Lightly woody hops and malt in this nose. Light, clean body with equal parts hops and malt, with touches of fruit and spice. The finish is mildly bitter with a lightly spiced hops aftertaste. Slightly above average.

bottle from O’Donnell’s in Ft Wayne - Pours golden with a one finger white head. It smells of light malts and a hint of hops. The flavor is light and well balanced and manages to avoid being watery. The finish is crisp and mildly hopped. This brew is a good quaff when you want something lighter.

Re-rate 3/7/12: Bottle sample at a tasting at Dagan’s place. Thanks Oren. Clear golden. Grainy aroma with some cardboard. Sweetish flavor with malt, a bit of cardboard and a drier finish with mild noble hops bitterness. Light to medium-bodied. 4/3/6/3/12=2.8

Draught in some small town near Cologne. My first Kolsch. Golden with a medium, short-lasting, white head. Malty aroma with some nice hoppiness. Nice hoppy flavor with a mild bitter finish. Medium-bodied. Very delicate and refreshing. 6/3/6/3/13=3.1

Pours the usual light golden colour with a fair amount of carbonation. The aroma is grassy and the taste is, at first one of mellow hops, but has a bit of a tart aftertaste, which I didn’t care for so much. I don’t think it’s as nice as some of it’s German peers I’ve had rescently, it got harder to drink as I went along. Not bad, though.
