Good steady carbonation and saturation to good, very dense just off-white head; typical light pale gold beer, totally clear. Little spicey (pepper, or better: Szechuan pepper) nose and good pale malts. Again the little spicey and sun-ripened grain taste. Ah - this is Kölsch at its best (when bottled of course). Light boded, some slickness from the malt dosage. Kölsch will always be better on draught. But if you (have to) go bottled, you could do much worse than thise. Strange, but these flavours make it even more (good) Pilsener-like. Philippe, if this isn’t Kölsch, I’m a Hottentot.

Golden colour. Light hop notes. Perhaps a hint of pale malt. Very bland, watery, slightly metallic. This isn’t kolsch.

A yellow beer with a beutiful white head. The aroma is malty with hints of citrus and slightly sour - a boring aroma. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of citrus and coriander.

Bottled (BB 04/2004)
Pale yellow lager color, small vanishing head. Dry grassy hop aroma. Crispy carbonated mouthfeel with some pleasant hop taste. Some fruit flavors too. A short bitterness in finish. Drinkable pilsener, not much more.

Light golden colour with almost no head. Aroma of bittered metallic malt. Light-bodied; Bad crisp flavour with a mild yeastiness and little else. Aftertaste sharp and bitter with only a mild finish. Overall, not really a kolsch in my mind...but regardless of the style-not a great beer! I had this on draught at MacGregor's in Rochester, New York on 31-March-2004.

A bit more bitter than other kolsch-biers I've tried, but that's about it. Avarage.
