BottleVery slight spicy and herbal aroma. Yellow golden, low visinle carbonation, head dissipates fast. Fat and fruity entry, but looses it a bit after that - light spicyness retronasal. Soft mouthfeel, bitter finish. Despite the temerature recomendation of 6-8C on the label I think it gets far more interresting as it warms up.

Hazy blond color. Quite simple beer, with some light maltiness and a decent bitterness.

Pour is a hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroms is kind of soapy and sticky. Flavor is a very weak hop and malt extract. A good session beer is all this is. Nothing here to write home from Cologne about.

Grauenhaft! Test vom 6.4.2005, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 5,5,4,1,9,2 - 3,25

Bottled. Yellow colour, white mediumsized bubbly head. Strong hoppy nose. Mainly hoppy flavour with some citric notes. Wellbalanced smooth flavour.

Bottle. Slightly sweet and flowery barley malt aroma. Golden yellow with small head. Slightly sweet and flowery and creamy malt flavor - smooth and full-bodied. Very good in the bottled version but sublime fresh at the brewpub - you finally find out why the locals rave so much about their beer - the 0.2 L glasses go down quick.

Test vom 8.2.2005, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 11,13,14,9,12,12 - 11,90

draught Very pale gold; medium white head, fast gone leaving lace. Very malty-grassy nose, freshly mown-hay. Very hayish, also in the taste. My drinking companion complains about the balance. I agree not everything seems to go perfectly, but for me, this is the best of the industrials. Light bodied, little slickness. By far the most Pilsner-like of all Kölsch.
