Bottle shared in Hackney - thanks to Kenneth. Pours clear Amber with a small, creamy topping. Rounded semi-dark malts in the nose, tangy aged berries, toasted bread, wood. Light-medium sweet flavour with more ripening, lightly tangy berries, some toffee, vanilla. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Subtly warming, with a little earthy bitterness, leaves, more ripe and dried and leathery berries. Nice one.

Third of a cask pint at the Scottish Real Ale Festival in Edinburgh’s Corn Exchange on 7th July 2017. Dark mahogany body, beige topping. The aroma reminded me of Vimto, then Dandelion and Burdock. The taste was all about the semi-sweet malts, really enjoyed this.

Bottle from The Beerhive. Hazy bronze body with a medium white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of grass and nuts. Flavour of white sugar, pine and grass. Thin body with a watery, slightly oily texture. It’s nice to see Luckie Ales brew a modern, hop-forward beer.
