Aroma: Restrained aroma of coffee and milk chocolate.
Appearance: Dark brown body with a huge, dense tan head. Gorgeous lacing.
Taste: Malty and sweet, but with a tangy, sour finish. Flavours of milky coffee, stewed fruit and light pepper notes. Not very moreish.
Palate: Full body with a thick, creamy mouthfeel. Very soft carbonation.
Overall: Quite an unusual beer. Would score higher if is wasn’t for the unpleasant sour taste.

Pours quite muddy with a reasonable enough head - slight gusher on opening. The nose has a little coffee, caramel and bran flakes. The taste has bourbon creams (chocolate biscuits) then a yeasty sourness to finish. The palate is light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a sour finish. Overall, quite tastey for the level of alcohol but so so!

50cl bottle. Pours cloudy orangey-brown with a generous head. The nose has salt, nuts and touch of cream. The taste has more salt and wheat with a nutty finish. The palate has more the texture and body of a Belgian Dubbel - very tangy and yeast dominated. There is also good hop bitterness. Overall, not sure this is a bitter but it is a good beer.
