Bottle shared at EurHop in Rome-Italy. Black pour with caramel highlights, ivory tick foam. Nose: dusty roast, a bit under fermented. Mouth: not bad but not a thrill either. But frizzy start and monotone aftertaste. Meh ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle at a tasting. Aroma cocoa, caramelly, chocolate. Flavour however shows significant tobacco, also smoky notes, slightly roasted. Dry and seemingly watery. Good but not great.

0,33l bottle at home from trade with tomer, big thanks. BB 10/03/2017. almost black color, small coffee-colored head. smells earthy, some roast, coffee, rather creamy smell, bitter chocolate, light ash. very nice smell. medium body, light carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes earthy, light smoke, some dark fruits, some ash, plums, leathery. finishes lighty roasty and earthy bitter with notes of dark fruits and some leather. leather and dark fruit notes are a bit distracting (especially on the taste), but overall rather enjoyable beer.

Re-rate 3/5/16: Draught at Beer Market TLV. Same keg, another sample one day after original rating. I like this even better today. Very classic and well-made example of the style. By far the best Israeli Weizen to date. Satisfying, easy-drinking, refreshing. Well done, Herzl! 7/4/7/4/14=3.6
Draught at Beer Market TLV. One-off keg for Herzl Tap Takeover. Nice cloudy golden with a creamy white head. Nice yeasty aroma of fruity esters (banana, citrus), bread, and mild spiciness. Mildly sweetish flavor with yeast, wheat, bread, some fruitiness, and a bitterish spicy note in the finish. Fluffy mouthfeel. A nice well-made Weizen. 7/4/6/4/13=3.4

RBWG16. Thanks to DSG for hauling this all the way to NorCal. The bottle pours with a nice looking brown body that supports a thin light tan head. The aroma offers up sweetened roasted malts, some nuttiness, a bit of earthy and then a soft sliver of earthy smoke. The taste delivers dark roasted malts, a burnt malt sensation and then a light earthy tobacco note. Very cool and I’m loving the roasted malt and somewhat soft earthy tobacco play.
