1.4 L plastic bottle. Apparent malty aroma, little hops. Hazy amber, small head and low carbonation, CO2 perhaps leaked. Moderately sweet like honey, caramel and syrup, almost no bitterness. Would be much better with more carbonation.

Tap. Dark brown, creamy foam. Aroma: spicy, herbs and tea, caramel, a little sweetness, strange. Caramel taste, slightly burnt, sourness, biscuit, tea, a little spicy, carbonated slightly higher than usual, strange, however, not sure - dark lager or stout?

Appearance: Clear pale yellow with a large white frothy head of good retention. Aroma and taste: nasty phenolic infection, grains. sweetish. Mouth feel: Light to medium body. Average to lively carbonation. Overall: Disgusting.

Tap. Yellow, moderately hazy, white foam. Aroma: malty, slightly yeasty, a bit spice and sourness, grainy. Malty taste with yeast sourness, grain, a little grassy hops and dough, a mild bitterness, so-so.

1 litre PET bottle. Pours clear brown with a thin yellowy head. Aroma is yeast, bread, rye. Taste is medium sweet, yeast, bread. Sour note. A bit too sweet. Not sure how “Zhivoi” this is.

500ml bottle. Pours dark brown with a medium-sized beige head. Aroma is coffee, roasted malt. Taste is dry, roasted malt, coffee notes. Light to medium bitter finish.

500ml bottle. Pours almost opaque gold with a tall white head. Aroma is white bread, citrus peel, yeast. Taste is light sweet, watery, citrus, wheat. Light bitter finish. Not bad.
