Aroma is not good at all but the flavour makes up for its loss. Dark coffee colour and taste with other hints of dark malts and molasses. Slight burnt flavour to both. Finish is slightly bitter with continuing coffee notes.

Chestnut brown. Apple and coffee aroma. Lightish body, fairly dry, rather complex, but perhaps on the edge of feeling thin.

Since you'll never learn anything about a beer's character by reading jbrus' ratings, allow me...the first thing you'll notice is that this is not even brown - amber maybe. It has a light body, a hint of caramelly maltiness (though rather poorly developed). There is some honey taste, but in a cloying, unfermented sort of way that clashes with the malts. The finish is quite quick. All in all, it tastes like a knockoff of JW Dundee's Honey Brown - you'll want to stick with Muskoka's Dark Ale instead.

Very fresh-tasting. Good bready malt and pleasing hop note. I'm not a huge fan of premium lagers but this is an acceptable example.

Dark chestnut colour. Aroma shows fairly assertive (for this brewery) caramel-toffee flavour and a whiff of dying embers. The body is a light, but these flavours persist. Dries as it goes.
