Description
Our Poolside protolab in Amsterdam is a small (tiny) brewery where we spend months (sometimes years) honing every recipe to perfection. We experiment, tweak and taste until a recipe is just right and then we work with a big brewery to scale it up and bring Poolside to life.
We only work with independent brewers who we trust and respect and we work closely with them to scale our recipes for their systems. We don’t work with any one specific brewery, we are nomads. We will always be transparent about where our beer is brewed so check the can if you are interested.

0.33 l can from 'Dorst Craft Beer Shop', best before March 2022. Very hazy, pale orange with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish, fairly fruity, slightly dank aroma of passion fruit, orange, green peppers and light onions. Gently sweet, rather fruity, slightly juicy taste of orange, passion fruit, mango and green peppers, followed by a short, slightly bitter finish with a moderate hop burn. Medium body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Tasty NEIPA, nothing to write home about nowadays but a pleasure nevertheless.

440ml can. Hazy, yellow-ish, dark golden colour with average to huge, thick, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, white head. Relatively restricted, citrusy fruity, hoppy aroma, notes of orange, tangerine, mandarine, oaty malty background. Taste is dry and sweet-ish, minimally sugary, oaty malty and citrusy fruity hoppy, minimally diluted notes of orange, tangerine, mandarine, hints of lemon, some zesty aspects, zesty bitterness. Surprisingly watery texture, dry palate, medium, prickly carbonation. Relatively light body, quite watery, relatively monotonous, monolateral on the zesty citrusy side - OK brew, but not under the rubric it wants to play. Rather outclassed itself than declassing others in the Double NEIPA category.

Straight from the can on a sunny afternoon sat in an Amsterdam canal. Aroma of big citrus and green weedy hops. Flavour is light to moderate sweet and above moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
