75cl bottle for my 40th Birthday thanks to Fin and Loz. Thanks to a great couple. Very dark brown colour with lasting beige head. Attractive choc aroma with some subtle whisky in there too. Smooth in the mouth. Whisky builds through the swallow and into the finish. I quite like the choc part of it. The barrel ageing is ok and not over the top but I’m not convinced it either improves the base beer nor that it integrates perfectly with the beer either. As a limited edition beer I am very grateful to Fin and Loz for being able to try it.

Bottle at the Rake. It pours cloudy orange-amber, with a thin foamy white head and moderate (but sharp) carbonation. The nose is cheese, pine, sweet orange and earth. The taste is pine, resin, grass, biscuit, orange pith, dust, earth, metal and alcohol warmth, with a long bitter-dry finish. A more than decent IPA.

330ml bottle thanks to the ever generous and wonderful couple that are Fin and Loz. They got me this as part of my race to 10k so thanks for the beer and the rate. Pours a copper gold colour with a faint haze. lasting near white head. Cheesey earthy American hop aroma. Some satsuma and clementine aroma. Its a prwtty decent US style IPA. It has lots of gops lots of sherberty hoppy bitterness on the finish. Once you get some of the carbonation out of it the mouthfeel is quite creamy. Cheesey hop aroma gives way to likeable arresting flavour and mouthfeel. Finish is best part ot the beer. Really quite an aggressive likeable IPA.
