300ml draught, served comfortably chilled at Tegners Gömställe. Clear, dark amber body colour. Film-type head. Plain smell of malts with floral hops coming through. Caramel malty flavour with a few notes of piny hops. The best part was a refreshing bitter ending. Smooth on the swallow and easy to drink (Stockholm, 03.09.2009).

Bottle, at Bishops Arms, Karlstad. A clear, rubyish brown beer with a one-finger beige head. Caramel, dried fruits and hints of spices in the aroma, not sensing the smoke at all. The flavor has a caramel sweetness in the back, with dried fruits and some bitterness. Full-bodied, smooth and nicely carbonated. There’s a little metallic flavor in the finish, but nothing disturbing. Else it’s sweetness, dried fruits and a fine bitterness. A nice Christmas beer indeed. 090802
