Bottled. Golden colour. Appley nose. Sweet and softly malty. Honeyish. The malt character is really rich for a Norwegian beer. Low biterness.

Pours a cloudy yellow. This brew looks more like a hefe than a pilsner. Aroma is hoppy and there is 0 head. Flavor is oily and thick. You get the flavor of hops but the skunkyness overwhelms. There are better out there.

Another contract brewed pils, this one is supposed to replace Husets Pilsner which was 0.2% weaker. So far both beers are available in some Norwegian Coop stores. The other Norwegian Coop beers are now brewed by Mack, while Aass seems to continue brewing this one. It is a typical "neutral" pils, weak fruity aroma with hints of pineapple. Flavour is not offensive, but there is not much to be happy about either.

Dark amber, near brown coloured body with ruby highlights and a medium-sized tan head. Aroma of cherries, nuts, malt, metal and a slight sourness. Medium-bodied; Sweet initial flavour with a metallic overtone and a pleasant malt backbone. Aftertaste shows a lot of the metallic character with a bit of the fruityness and a moderate amount of the sweetness. A bit too stagnant and musty for my tastes, but all-in-all, not a horrendous beer! I bought this twelve ounce bottle at Beers of the World in Rochester, New York and sampled it on 09-December-2003.

(330 ml bottle). Copper colour, good head. Aroma is caramel and spices. Flavour is malty with some caramel and burnt notes, still a somewhat thin mouthfeel - this style calls for a higher ABV.
