-one of the few independent traditional breweries in the Czech republic
-brews all its beers according to the traditional double-mashed technology which means that the beer is fermented in open vats and lagered in horizontal lagering tanks for 40-60 days
-only uses the highest quality raw materials of Czech origin, namely Czech malts, Saaz hops and water from its own deep wells, to make the beer
-has the right to mark its products with the protected geographical indication Czech beer

Bottle many thx to Marko cons 2019-02-14 Prauge Named Bakalar Svetla Desitka. AR: bread, dry , grass, AP: clear coppery body, frothy high head F: bready, dry bread, semi sweet.

0.5l bottle from the big Albert in Žižkov. Clear coppery body, pretty lasting off white head. Classic caramel malt notes, edged by herbal hoppiness, not thrilling but clean and okay. The herbal hoppiness is prominent in the taste as well, on a soft, mild, caramelly maltiness. Quite well balanced, this, well hopped too. Not thrilling, but well made and relatively moreish for the style.

500ml bottle as Bakalar Tmave Desitka. Pours dark brown with a tall beige head. Aroma is caramel, dried fruit, brown sugar. Taste is medium sweet, caramel, chocolate, burnt notes. Light bitter finish. A nice surprise in the slow march to 100 dark lagers.

500ml bottle as Bakalar Svetla Desitka. Pours clear gold with a yellowish head. Aroma is honey, grass, malt. Taste is light sweet, malt, hay, mild hoppy bitterness. Fairly good.

(bottle 0,5l) Overall: Ok, worty nonalcoholic beer. Aroma: Strong worty. Appearance: Clear golden. Long lasting, white head. Taste: Strong worty, light sweet, grainy, light bitter. Palate: Medium body. Light bitter finish.

Green bottle Bakalar za studena chmeleny z cerstveho chmele sklizen 2018. Dark golden colour, nice head. Aroma is initially skunk and iron, then butter and malt. Light bitterness. Disappointing!

Green bottle, named Bakalar Svetla Desitka. Pale colour, head disappears quickly. Aroma is not very intensive, with butter, malt, honey. Light bitterness, light sweetness. Light body. A bit boring.

Õlle on selline jook, et iga uus kord kui klaasi või pudeli suule tõstad, siis leiad midagi uut, sõltuvalt tuhandest-miljonist pisiasjast, mis hetke olukorda mõjutavad. Seega piirdun iga õlle juures selle tekstiga.
