Tradiční pivovar v Rakovníku
-one of the few independent traditional breweries in the Czech republic
-brews all its beers according to the traditional double-mashed technology which means that the beer is fermented in open vats and lagered in horizontal lagering tanks for 40-60 days
-only uses the highest quality raw materials of Czech origin, namely Czech malts, Saaz hops and water from its own deep wells, to make the beer
-has the right to mark its products with the protected geographical indication Czech beer

Clear dark reddish with medium off white head. Sweet aroma with roasted malt and caramel. Flavor like wise. Ends sweet.

(6/27/08) Draught at Vinarna Hrozen in Plzen. Hazy golden. Aroma is a bit chemical and adjuncty with some maltiness. Sweetish flavor with some light graininess and a quite metallic finish. Light to medium body.

From tap at Hrozen. Pours hazy yellow with a lacing white head. Aroma is spiced and butterish. Flavour is mild orange fruity and light citric. Mild bitterness and malt base. Light yeasty fruity towards the finish. Ends with a mix of fruity hops and bitterness.

Draught. Hazy yellow colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is yeast, some malts and hops. Flavour is not that different from the aroma. Also, not that pleasant of a brew.

Hazy yellow with a nice white head. Fruity yeast aroma with a little malt and butterscotch. Dry malty flavour with a touch of hops in the finish. Quite thin.

From tap Pivovarsky Klub. Pours clear and deep amber with a creamy and lacing light tan head. Mild spiced butterish aroma. Light butterish flavour with nice roasted malt and light spiced note. Medium sweet caramel malt into the finish with a light bitterness showing through.7-3-7-3-13=3.3

50 cL bottle, Bakalar Pivo Tmavy Lezak. Pours clear and golden hazzlenut brown with a diminished off-white head. Mild caramel malty aroma. Flavoured with a mild spiced hoppy note and smooth caramel malty note. Smooth and mild malty finish with a vague bitterness.7-3-7-3-13=3.3

Draft at Vinarna Hrozen, RBESG tasting. A hazy golden beer with a lazing white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of dusty hops and lots of diacethyl, almost turning into butter. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of straw, as well as medium notes of diacethyl, leading to a dry bitter finish. The body is thin.
