250ml bottle shared by Per. Pink head, deep dark reddish body. Sweet berries and almond on the nose. Similar taste of almond and cherry. A little jam like. Okay as a sweet soft drink (Sommarøy 01.08.2015).

300ml bottle. Ruby red glowing, dark copper colour with lots of floating chunks and average to huge, thick, creamy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Strawy and minimally fruity aroma, hints of red berries, red jelly, jelly bears, yeasty overtones. Taste is sweet fruity, notes of red berries, red jelly, some straw; light body, slightly watery.

Clear orange beer, small irregular off-white head, little stable, non adhesive. aroma: grains, hay, bit malty, spicy touch. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty hoppy and bitter, little fruity, caramel, malty. Aftertaste: bitter hops, some citrus, grapefruit, nice hoppy beer, almost an IPA I'd say!

Bit fluffy, just off-white head over UFO-laden big-bubbled orange beer. White candi sugar, alcohol. Smells of Huyghe. Coriander, fake citrus, soupy nose; Coriander-infested. Light roasted malts as ’backbone’ - oxydized at that - but not able to fight the horrible weed. Lightstruck too, I fear. Finish has something mineral/salty, DMS? Medium bodied, alcoholwarming. Awful.

Good, if shortlived cream-coloured head over hazy, pale-ish orange beer. Creamy, spicy nose, white candi sugar, coriander, lemoncookies. Bitterish-spicy, oxydized, coriander. Not exactly inviting. Medium bodied, slick, oxydation. Really inferior.Earlier Rating: 3/7/2011 Total Score: 3.1Huge, dense, off-white head over darker, clear-golden beer, heavily carbonated. Grainy, faint spicy and vegetable nose, bit milky and white candi sugar. More bitter, toasted flaovur, again spicy as with curaçoa peel, some coriander, and toasted malts. Caramel and candi sugar touches, alcohol in the finish. Quite spritzy, little restsugars, very carbonated. Aftertaste has some green leaves, certainly warming up, and becomes more sweet all the same. Huyghe Tripel indeed. BTW, why do the Dutch spell Tripel always in French?

Huge brownish head; dark brown beer with a reddish sheen; shards of lace. Sweetish, caramel, maltsyrup, parsley, bit of conifers. Sweet, nutty, dark & wet bread, watery finish. Obvious dark malts - but also colouring additives, I fear. Just the sweetness keeps lingering on, impression of slightly spiced cookies; Not very well-bodied, empty feel and empty palate. Rather lame. Why?Earlier Rating: 9/1/2004 Total Score: 3.3Fluffy yellow-brown head, irregular; opaque brown beer with reddish shine. Nose with dark, but sweet chocolate and banana. Som lactic notes as well. Bitterish taste, part spicey, part cocoa-powder (rather than coffee). Piquant, spicey spiking. The malt underneath strengthens the idea of the old-fashioned cocoa-powder drink. Refreshing mouthfeel, despite the cocoa connotation; medium bodied. Aftertaste is dry, medicinal-bitterish. I don’t think this is bad at all. It has, however little or nothing in common with either lambic, either Flemish Oud bruin.

30 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Hogerdijk, Culemborg. Dark brown with a beige head. Malty aroma with lots of dark fruits and spices. Taste is also spicy with a good solid bitterness to it. Thick mouthfeel due to the rye I guess. A real winterwarmer this one.
