Drunk on cask as Lindisfarne Holy Island Bitter. Sweet, malt, spiced fruit & tea tastes with a tangy finish. Tasty.

Bottle: Poured a coppery orange golden with a creamy off white head. Aroma is fruity, rich malts, caramel, spice. Taste is bitter forward, big bold grain, bready.

Bottle from Northumbrian Gifts. Appearance - amber with a big fluffy white head. Nose - brown bread plus oranges. Taste - bread dominant though still a little orange. Palate - light to medium bodied, roasty and just short of astringent. Overall - ok.

Third by cask at GBBF Winter, Astbury Bar. Shared with Finn. Clear golden-brown body. Filmy, bubbly layer, scattered lacing. Faint aroma of toffee-fruit. Mixed taste of earthy malts and leafy hops. Ends bittersweet. Rather thin on the sallow. Accepted. (Birmingham 04.02.2020).

Third by cask at GBBF Winter, Astbury Bar. Shared with Finn. Clear warm golden body, bubbles to the rim of the surface, dotted spots on the glass. Vague floral aromas. Ripe citrus, biscuit and grain to the taste character. Drying ending. Accepted. (Birmingham 04.02.2020).

8/2/2020. From cask at the Great British Winter Beer Festival, Birmingham. Pours clear golden with a small white head. Aroma of malt, biscuit, hops and fruit. Medium sweetness and moderate bitterness. Moderate body, oily texture, soft carbonation.
