Brown color. Roasted malt in the rather herbal aroma. Sweetish, roasted flavor with raisin. Malty and bready. The alcohol is fairly well hidden, but still noticeable. Powerful beer with enough flavor to be pleasurable, but somehow I feel this beer could be much better.

5 January 2019. At Backdoor, Ghent. Cheers to Eurogamer crew! Pours hazy ochre with a lasting, thin, foamy, off-white head; little lacing. Aroma of yeast, white bread, unripe apricot, green banana, yellow apple, canned peach, pineapple, cooked cauliflower. Taste is medium fruity sweet, notes of peach, pineapple & apricot, supported by a yeasty & bready malty base; light to medium spicy bitter middle, coriander, grassy & peppery edge. Dryish, faintly grassy hoppy finish, lingering yellow fruit, yeast, white bread, falling a bit flat. Medium body, slick/creamy texture, soft carbonation. Unimpressive Belgian Ale.

5 January 2019. At Backdoor, Ghent. Cheers to Eurogamer crew! Pours hazy dark brown with a lasting, thin, frothy, beige head. Aroma of blue plum, raisin, toast, milk chocolate, gingerbread, ripe pear, butterscotch, candi sugar, weirdly red cabbage too. Taste is medium to heavy malty sweet, lots of ripe pear, plum & raisin, a bit chocolatey; light herbal bitter middle has cold green tea, touch of gingerbread & clove, toasty effect too, mocha. Dryish, herbal hoppy finish, lingering ripe fruit, toast, gingerbread, faint metallic 'zing', before a dash of rather sharp, warming brandy alcohol. Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Nice 'heavy' brew in itself, but not too sophisticated.

Organic ’massieve ale’ commissioned by Natura. Beige, moussy head, dark bronze colour. Fruity esters dominate the nose, I get raisins and apple juice; otherwise coriander, caramel, coffee, some DMS (red cabbage), candi syrup and some alcohol. Fruity, sweet, deep malty taste with a lot of coriander, some roasted bitterishness in the finish as well as badly hidden, somewhat astringent alcohol. Not too well balanced.
