Description
Welcome to one of the most beautiful places in Stein.
For 14 years we, Rik & Lonneke Brouns, have been able to run a beautiful company here, De Fontein Brewery. A craft beer brewery and catering company in which taste experience and Limburg hospitality are paramount. We are in nature, we work with nature. Fruit from our own standard, herbs and fruits from our own vegetable garden, honey from our own bees, we use all of it. Will you come enjoy the beauty of the seasons with us? We produce more than 40 different types of speciality beers. We brew a variety of seasonal beers, where possible using ingredients we produce ourselves while taking account of classic beer flavours.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Clear golden with floating impurities and a small off-white head. Aroma is more like dry white wine. Medium body, sweet fruit and malts, but ends fairly dry. Not exactly exciting. 041009

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a hazy golden with a gigantic and lively off-white head - comes gushing. Tart fruity aroma. Medium body, very sweet malts and some yeast and phenols - not exactly what you would expect from a clean Lager style. A little hops in the finish. Must be infected - poorly made. 031009

Fully hazy dark pineapplejuice colour with dense, bit fluffy, off-white head. End of bottle solid yeast. Veggie nose, milkripe grain, fresh malts. Bit burning MF, roasted flavour, sharp, and oxydized at the same time. Medium bodied, pretty heavily carbonated, both visually and by MF. Balance is far from achieved. No overpowering faults, but incoherent. In general, pretty close to homebrew try.
