Aus der Flasche (bbe 07-2030) im 2021-03 getrunken. Dies dunkle, leicht süßliche Malzmonster ist ein klassisches Barley Wine. Große Besonderheiten hat es jedoch nicht, was es aber auch nicht braucht es macht auch so Spaß im Glas.

330ml bottle. Hazy. orangey, dark golden to amber colour with small, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Sweet-ish, pale and wheaty malty, yeasty fruity and minimally citrusy hoppy aroma, notes of apricot, mirabelle, some tangerine, a touch of grapefruit, spicy whiffs of aniseed. Taste is surprisingly dry, bitter, citrusy hoppy, minimally sugary, pale and wheaty malty basis with some residual sweetness, a peppery spicy and slightly fruity yeasty touch, hints of tangerine, grapefruit, white pepper; lingering, bitter, zesty and slightly chalky finish. Watery texture, dry, nevertheless minimally cloying palate, medium to fine, prickly carbonation. Nice hoppy twist on an otherwise quite average Tripel - OK.

Draft @Pieke Potloed, Maastricht. Hazy medium golden colour, good stable frothy off-white head, good lacing. Aroma sweet malt, smelly basement, coriander, yeast, earthy notes. Taste medium sweet and mild bitter, malty, bit citrus, yeast, spicy notes. Medium body, creamy texture, average carbonation, mild sweetbitter aftertaste, a pity of the smelly basement odour in the aroma but overall okay.

Alkoholischer, süß getreidiger Antrunk. Geringe Karbonisierung, deutlich alkoholisch bleibend, weich, monoton. Sehr kurzer Nachgeschmack. 9/8/8/8/11/8

33cl bottle. A clear yellow golden beer with a big off white head. Aroma of mild sweet and fruity pale malt, belgian yeast. Taste of strong spicy malt, herbs, mild pale fruits, belgian yeast, high carbonation.

33cl flesje van vorig jaar, dank Marc! Bier komt de fles uit gespoten, als een geyser. Heb nog net 5cl kunnen redden voor de tick. Bier wat over is is niet verkeerd, chocola, donkere mout, gedroogd donker fruit, vijgen, meer chocolade in de finish. Lichte body. Minpunten voor de major gusher.

Bottle. Murky dark brown color. Fat caramelaroma. Full bodied. Malty sweet caramelly flavor. Not a trace of the promised whisky malt. Very low on carbon. Still a nice one.
