In August 2015, the Mad Fox Taproom opened in the Glover Park neighborhood of Washington, DC. We're proud to provide a unique dining experience that pairs our handcrafted, award-winning beer with an appealing menu created in a scratch kitchen using locally-sourced and sustainable products whenever possible. All of our craft beers are brewed on-site using the finest ingredients sourced from across the country and internationally as well. Taste the difference with our appealing brewpub menu featuring hand-tossed artisan pizzas, creative burgers, signature frickles, weekly specials and more. Our 63-foot bar serves as the centerpiece of the brewpub where we showcase up to ten standard, house-brewed draught beers on tap as well as a rotating selection of seasonal brews in German, English, Belgian and American styles. Taste our cask conditioned proper Real Ales served through water-jacketed Angram beer engines which ensure that every pint is served at properly conditioned cellar temperatures.

Wow, I’ve had the Saison on occasion and the Fennec is a pretty enjoyable brew from time to time, but this one with the added Citra hops in the cask put it over the top. Nice spice notes, overly hoppy. Enjoyed.

Draft. Poured a medium-dark, but clear brown color with a small off-white head. Aroma was roasted, with a very distinct nutty character to it. Flavor was malts, roast, and brown nut. A bit unrefined, but enjoyable.

Sampler from draft. Poured a very hazy straw color with a small white head. Pretty carbonated - almost looks like what you’d find in a champagne bottle. Aroma is a bready, mild hops. Flavor is mild, with a crisp taste. A bit more bitter than the regular Kolsch that they also serve.
